Another Tarn Day has passed. Was good to see folks, see ya next year if you'd like to stop back in. I do want to apologize to Weiss, Vought, and Juv who were playing when I typed "song list" and crashed the mud. This is a good example of why Steve and I don't want the code released... way too many bugs, memory leaks, etc. Is embarrassing. :)

Have a great year folks! Search for Turning Point MUD on Facebook if you'd like to join some folks there too. -- Jay

This year we had 22 people join throughout the day which was the same number (though different names) than last year.

Yeap, we're up! See ya at telnet://tp.org:9999 if you'd like to join.

3/7/09

TP MUD should be open on April 1st, 2009 unless something unforseen arises. I'll start it up when I get into the office a bit after 9am, and will close it down before bed a bit after 10pm.

3/5/09

A former player asked me to post the following info:
"There's a new mud 'Savage Realm' being developed/ built /coded inspired almost completely from the great Turning Point Mud. If you want to contribute towards the development of this mud (building, coding, bug testing, helpfiles.. anything) then send Bob and email on boblinski@gmail.com."

4/2/08

The Turning Point MUD has been shut down.

If you'd like to join us for a reunion you can try us on April Fools Day each year. No promise on it being up, but I will make my best effort to get it up from 9am until 10pm EST (or there abouts). Your old character should be available unless it was archived before shutdown, but if not just make a new one as I won't be unarchiving or restoring anyone.

Jay

PS: telnet://tp.org:9999 and you probably want to find your way to The Turning Point Tavern if you remember the directions. :)

PPS: First off, it was fun seeing everyone today. Folks do have my apologies for TP shutting down so quickly 2004. TP MUD, as I often reminded folks, belonged to Steve and myself and was ran by Juv and Pleos. When we decided to take it down in the fall of 2004, it was a joint decision for many different reasons. There are absolutely no plans to bring it back up for many reasons, some of which are still the same. There are also no plans to give the mud to anyone else to run. We'll be back each each on "Tarnday" as folks have taken to calling April 1st. :) See you next year.

BTW, for this year we had 22 unique names login today, they were:
